I consider myself very lucky to be part of the Swish and Flick family, but not nearly as lucky as my bank account for that matter. Even now I have to fight the urge to take half of every delivery home with me. In this blog post, I’m going to shop like a Swish and Flick customer and share what I would buy!
Magical Shopkeeper is not what I expected my job to be, but I’m not mad about it. Swish and Flick has been open as a shop in Axminster since 2020 but we’ve been selling Harry Potter gifts since long before that. I’ve been going to travelling shows selling Harry Potter since I was a teenager, and now that we have the shop I love being surrounded by that magic every day.
As a family, we are incredibly proud of the collection we have curated in our Axminster shop. Everything you will find in this shop is something we would want for ourselves, and believe me, it’s a trial not to take it all home with us.
That is what led me to this experiment. I want to do a haul of what I would buy if I came to Swish and Flick as a customer. I have given myself a dreamy £50 budget to buy whatever I please from our shop and will link everything in this post for you to check out too!
My Haul
Harry Potter Hogwarts Constellations Mug
£11.50
This mug has always been one of my favourites to look at. I love the marble effect and the gold foiling. The constellation design is gorgeous as well. Just drinking coffee out of this is going to be something special.
Harry Potter Luna Lovegood Glasses Case
£12.50
I actually already have a Harry Potter glasses case but this one is so special. Luna is my absolute favourite character and this design is incredible. It’s soft to the touch, protective and comes with a glasses cloth. This is the kind of thing that will last me years.
Harry Potter Diagon Alley Coin Purse
£9.50
My current coin purse is falling apart so I need a new one. This Diagon Alley range is by far my favourite in the shop. In fact, I recommended the Diagon Alley Tote Bag in my last blog post. Not only is this purse beautiful, it’s well made and highly functional, meaning it'll be fine when I chuck it into the bottom of my bag like I often do.
Sherlock Holmes Soft Cover Notebook
£10.50
I am addicted to notebooks, so this is more of a want than a need. I don’t know what my favourite part of this notebook is: the cover, the end pages, the pages themselves or the ribbon that comes with it. Even the packaging sleeve makes a great bookmark. As a big reader and Sherlock lover, I couldn’t NOT walk away with this!
Harry Potter Butterbeer Pin Badge
£4.25
This is one of the most beautiful badges I’ve ever seen. It’s the kind of Harry Potter badge that only true fans will understand. The attention to detail in this badge is insane. I love the aesthetic, the shine and the little bits of text. I can’t wait to stick this on my jacket.
Gummy Noodles
£1.00
I have been desperate to try these but they keep selling out! I can see why. They’re cheap and fun. I love that along with the noodles you get sweet sauce and edible chopsticks!
Burger Gum
5p each
Lastly, bubblegum. The 5p bubblegum is brilliant. My favourite is this burger flavour because it’s got a sweet liquid on the inside, kind of like ketchup in a burger. They’re a great way to round off this haul!
Total spent
£49.50
Overall, I’m very happy with what I’ve picked! As soon as I wrote this, I saw another £50 worth of stuff I’d love, so perhaps I’ll try this again!
