My Swish and Flick Christmas List

markdowdeswell5

It’s that time of year again, and while I stand behind the counter serving those doing their Christmas shopping, I’m doing a little Christmas shopping of my own. In this blog post, I’m going to share with you everything I want from Swish and Flick this Christmas. So, if you know me IRL: hint hint. If not, you may just get some ideas for yourself or your loved ones!

It seems that the Christmas Spirit and the Potterhead Spirit go hand in hand. We’ve been busy unpacking our final pre-Christmas deliveries and sipping on many local festive drinks while we stock the shelves. Personally, as I’ve been organising shelves and unboxing new products, I’ve made a mental list of everything that I would love to receive for Christmas.

We have a vast collection of Harry Potter items, but also witchy gifts, bookish gifts, and all kinds of wonderous oddities that would make anyone smile this Christmas. So, I thought I would share with you my personal highlights of our collection, complete with links (coming soon) and prices if you’re interested yourselves. This is a dream list, so I haven’t given myself a budget like I did in my Swish and Flick Haul post. Hopefully this list can also inspire you if you’re making your own list, or on the search for another.

My Christmas List

The Potter

Luna Lovegood Hanging Tree Decoration

£9.50

Every year since I was a child I have received a new Christmas decoration. While some of them remain in hibernation with the rest of our decorations for 11 months of the year, I like to hang my HP ones off my shelf year round. It’s somewhat odd that I don’t already have a Luna decoration, seeing as she is my favourite character, so it’s time to rectify that.

The Bookish

Sherlock Holmes Tote Bag

£13.50

My goal before the end of the year is to finally finish reading all the Sherlock Holmes books. As I write this passage, I have half an hour left in the audiobook for His Last Bow. I know I have too many tote bags, but I can make an exception for this.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Metal Bookmark

£7.50

Another one of my favourite classics. Truly, these metal bookmarks are THE Christmas gift for a book lover.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Book Vase

£15.75

I’ve been looking for a new pen pot, and this will fit in perfectly with the 400 other books I have in my room. It could even slot perfectly onto a bookcase to hold bookmarks. I’d be excited to try all the possibilities of this vase.

The Witchy

Vampire Blood Scented Candle

£8

I can confirm, vampire blood smells lovely! These Autumn and Winter months are perfect for scented candles, and we all have that one candle friend who thrives in this cold weather. That friend is me, and I could sniff this candle all day.

Potion Bottle Mini Vase

£7

Once again, if I think it would look good on my bookshelf, I will want it. Surely I am not the only one with this though process? This would look perfect on a fantasy shelf!

Astral Travel Notebook

£12.50

This may be my favourite notebook we have ever stocked. I love how it has card slots, a pencil case, different kinds of paper, and of course the cover is gorgeous!

Skull and Books Bookend

£15

What some call Halloween decorations, I call perfect additions to my bookshelf. I want to swap out some decorations in my room, and this would look perfect with the new aesthetic I’m going for.

Skull Reed Diffuser with Haunted House Scent

£19

After picking up the haunted house scented skull candle over Halloween, I am absolutely obsessed with the scent. This is my favourite candle to burn, and I’m nearly out of it! I want to try the reed diffuser next, in hopes that it lasts a long time and keeps my room smelling spooky and cosy.

If I get any one of these items for Christmas, it will really make my day! It’s the perfect time of year to spend with the people you love, but also to do the things you love and express your love for your favourite things. Whether that’s Harry Potter, books, or things that may seem a bit spooky, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, or however you celebrate the year’s end.
